I have a degree in psychology from New York University, I work as an intern-therapist (I am in graduate school), astrologer, tarot reader, and dream tender. I have taken graduate and professional classes in Vedic, western, evolutionary and archetypal astrology. Additionally, I hold a certification in applied mythology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and am a certified yoga teacher.
I have been studying the astrological chart, tarot, and dreams from a Jungian lens and hope to continue that exploration with you.
There is a belief in depth psychology that everyone lives a myth. Freud declared to be living the myth of Oedipus and Jung claimed his life-myth to be Faust.
Myths are much more than stories, they are pictures of Psyche and Life's patterns that have played out since the beginning of time.
^This = an archetype!
If we can see these archetypes in our lives, we are enlightened in a way, because now we have the choice - will we fulfill the story of Oedipus, or will we chose a different ending?
Will we choose Mars's devotion, bravery, or blood-thirstiness?
Will we give into the vanity of Aphrodite or choose to embrace the empowerment of love?
Knowing the stories we are empowered to recognize our unconscious impulses and the archetypes that are driving them.
Through the images of astrology, tarot, and dreams, we become conscious.
I see through the lens of processes in alchemy:
Calcinatio, Solutio, Coagulatio, Distilatio, Sublimatio, Mortificatio, Separatio, and Coniunctio.
Using this language I hope to join you in transforming Psyche for yourself and for all of humanity.
You. You are my teacher.
Together we are working to align ourselves.
I don't want to tell you about yourself, I want to aid in increasing your connect to yourself, your truth, your soul.
I want to use the images of astrology, mythology, dreams, and the tarot to objectively see and subjectively exprerience Psyche.
I want to facilitate your engagement emotionally and spiritually with yourself.
I want to help you come to know your impulses (these archetypal Gods living inside you) + their relationships to one another.
I want to support you in come into relationship with yourself so that ultimately you can have a better relationship with people in your life and your environment.
